Karina Zurita, was born in Cartagena, Colombia. At the tender age of 10, she began her professional career. Noting her musical talent, Karina was invited to join the musical group of John Chacko International.  In the year 2000 they traveled throughout the continent of

Asia for 6 successive years, performing in Thailand, China, Malaysia, Singapore, India and Taiwan. The city of Los Angeles, California, became Karina’s new home in 2006.

In 2012 Karina joined the Mariachi Divas group where she had the opportunity to record three of her albums, being nominated three times and winning the Grammy in 2014 with her participation in the album “A mi Manera”.

Karina has performed and shared the stage with internationally recognized artists like Vanessa Amorosi,  Shaggy, Roxing Kafe, Christian Castro, Jose Jose, Richie Ray and Bobby Cruz, Eddie Santiago and Carlos Vives. Because of her versatility and range, Karina is able to participate in numerous musical genres in various languages.
